After becoming the third Buccaneers receiver to hurt his hamstring in two weeks, rookie wide receiver Scotty Miller has been placed on injured reserve.

Some unfortunate news on this fine Tuesday afternoon for Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans as they will be without sixth round rookie wide receiver Scotty Miller for the remainder of the season. Miller will now finish his rookie season on the injured reserve after totaling 13 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown.

Miller was in the midst of a career game last Sunday against the Detroit Lions until his hamstring gave him issues yet again. Coming out of Bowling Green, Miller was known for his speed and home run play potential as he runs a 4.3 forty yard dash so these injuries are common.

Miller had an amazing opportunity to show his ability with both star receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin likely done for the season but sadly could not stay healthy himself. Even though Miller had limited play I think he showed enough to have a great chance of being on the roster again next season.

With Miller, Evans and Godwin all out for the remainder of the season Jameis Winston will rely on former first round pick Breshad Perriman, former second year player Justin Watson, newcomer Ishmael Hyman and the newly signed Cyril Grayson.

Miller barely had a chance to show his skills after appearing in only 10 games as a rookie. The Bucs also added summer standout and fan favorite Spencer Schnell back to their practice squad yesterday. Showing flashes this season, the Bucs will hope for Miller to get healthy in the offseason and minimize the amount of injuries in 2020.
