Evans’ running mate and first time Pro Bowler, Chris Godwin, will be joining him in Orlando as the dynamic duo but up historic numbers for the pewter and red this season. Showing improvements in every year of his career thus far, Godwin now lands in the Pro Bowl in just his third season in the league.

As a rookie, the third rounder tallied 525 yards receiving and a touchdown, then 842 yards and seven touchdowns last year for the Buccaneers. He took another gigantic leap forward in 2019, recording 1,333 yards receiving and nine touchdowns on 86 catches for the Buccaneers.

With the departure of Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson this offseason, Godwin has stepped up into the true WR2 role for Tampa and has thrived. Head coach Bruce Arians told us preseason that Godwin was going to fill a ton of needs for the pewter and red offense, and he was not lying.

He too hurt his hamstring last week for the Buccaneers and is likely to miss the rest of the season for the Bucs. It will be interesting to see if he and Evans decide to play in the all-star game, but receiving the honors nonetheless is a worthy achievement for Godwin.
