Onward and upward

Keeping this streak alive and winning out is almost as big as making the playoffs for the 2019 Buccaneers. It was something, and is something that is under their control, unlike the playoffs by the time the streak started; winning out would be a tremendous launching pad for next season.

For the first  time in many, many offseasons, the Buccaneers will be realistically looking at being able to make the playoffs in the coming season. Winning out would give them a boost knowing the only other team to have six consecutive wins brought home the Lombardi Trophy; winning out would validate this team and it’s coaching staff.

Not winning out does not say that this team is not for real and turning a corner. Winning out though solidifies, and removes all doubt to the nation; it cannot be conveyed just how big six consecutive wins would be for this entire team and its fans.

Winning out puts an exclamation point on the season that says the draft was a success, bringing in Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles is an ongoing success. It signifies for the first time in a long time this team is the real deal, and took care of business until the end of the season without letting up.

I believe that for the Bucs to be successful against the Texans, they must get Ronald Jones into the gameplan, as well as Peyton Barber. Jones needs to finish the season with two productive games where he makes a difference, so he can come into next year with some confidence.

Throwing for 500 yards a game is great, but at some point they are going to have to become more balanced, or at least have the ability to run the ball successfully. That is going to take adding some offensive linemen in the first and second round, it is time to give love to the line like they did the defense.

Two more wins Tampa, just two more.
