Moving on from the 2014 Draft, Keenan Allen is a player that has experienced various highs and lows throughout his career, yet even though he has seen a recent resurgence he still falls short of Mike Evans.

Keenan Allen is more comparable to a player like Jarvis Landry who works with an overall volume of receptions rather than big plays, but regardless Allen is the WR1 for the Los Angeles Chargers and his stats do not beat those of Evans.

Allen has an extra year in the league on Evans, but due to injury he has still played in fewer games. During this time Allen has 524 receptions (more than Evans), 6,405 receiving yards (less than Evans), and 34 touchdowns (less than Evans).

As one can gather from this, Allen’s average yards per reception is lower than Evans’ with 12.2. In addition to this, Allen, like the other receivers on this list, has a higher catch rate than Evans (likely due to playing with Philip Rivers), yet his yards per target is still lower than Evan’s coming in at 8.4.

While another hard player to compare, Keenan Allen has come to be seen as a top receiver in the NFL over the last few years. Even though their roles are not the same, Mike Evans still gets the nod as again the situation for Evans in Tampa Bay is far less ideal due to no fault of his own.
