The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fanbase has been begging for new uniforms for years and it’s about time for the organization to come through.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had some of the worst uniforms in the NFL for quite a while now and it’s time for a change.

That change could be coming before the 2020 season, believe it or not.

The official Buccaneers website released a post titled ‘New Buccaneers Uniform’ a little less than a week ago and it seems that Tampa Bay could be taking a step back to its Super Bowl-winning days with a similar design.

Looking at those uniforms, they are extremely similar to what we saw for years after the creamsicle look was done away with. The design shows the classic red jersey with white numbering and black/orange outline. The helmet is gray with the Bucs logo and pants are white with a red stripe, though I’d still love to see the silver pants we saw in the past circa 2003.

It’d be great to get back to the Super Bowl-winning appearance. You know? That classic-looking uniform you remember when Dexter Jackson was logging two interceptions on his way to being named the Super Bowl MVP with that salty defense.

Honestly, the timing couldn’t be much better, either.

After more than a decade out of the playoffs, Tampa Bay has an opportunity to make a run at a playoff berth this coming season. More so than any year in the recent past, the Buccaneers are returning a plethora of young, enthusiastic talent and will have an opportunity to build off that core with a good offseason in free agency and in the NFL Draft.

It’s time for Tampa Bay to get back to a winning culture. And, as you know, that starts with a winning look.
