4. Fair Market Value

Speaking of the market, Suh made $9.25 million last season with the Buccaneers.

Despite a successful season, there’s reason to believe that fair-market value for him is going to be less this time around.

Advanced metrics and statistics showed a bit of a decline in his production and there may be many organizations who choose to pass on him for a younger or cheaper option. Obviously, that’s a decision Tampa Bay is mulling currently.

When market value drops, that opens up more cap space for the Buccaneers and gives the franchise more of a reason to bring him back.
