2. Eye on the future

The Buccaneers should have an eye on the future when they look at re-signing Suh.

Say that Tampa Bay gives Suh another one-year contract- or perhaps even a two-year deal. The organization could still draft an IDL in the later rounds of the NFL Draft and allow that rookie a chance to develop behind Suh.

It would be extremely helpful to have a young rookie come in and learn under Suh as a second-stringer without being ‘thrown into the fire.’

They’d be able to learn the system, develop and then take over at the position in a year or two when Tampa is ready to move away from Suh and into a younger direction.
