Though the consensus among Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans is that DT Ndamukong Suh will be gone, there are signs he could be returning.

The consensus among Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans is that Ndamukong Suh wouldn’t be returning to the bay area for another season.

After all, Suh is one of the higher-profile interior defensive linemen in the 2020 free-agency class and could attract a sizeable contract this offseason.

That being said, Bruce Arians has remained adamant that the Buccaneers want to return the entire front-seven from last year’s 2019 team and that includes Suh. When asked about the prospect of re-signing Shaquil Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul and Suh, he remained confident that the organization could get a deal done.

In addition to Arians’ confidence and clear desire to have his front-seven remain intact, Suh told Buccaneers GM Jason Licht that he wants to remain in Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers would have to be wise with cap space in order to get a deal done and would all start with the franchise tag. In addition to being smart with re-signing players, it certainly could be possible that Suh- who is beginning to age- may be interested in taking a little less money for a longer extension.

After all, he has played the last few seasons of his career going from one-year contract to one-year contract and that understandably could be getting tiresome.

It’s clear that the Buccaneers are trying to do everything they can to get all three of these guys back- and that includes Suh.

It might not be able to be done, but fans should know that the organization is prioritizing having Suh back for at least another season and those who have already written him out of Tampa Bay may want to take a step back because that’s clearly not the organization’s preferred plan.
