This fifth-round pick is meant to address one very important thing; depth on the offensive line.

The Buccaneers likely already have all of their starters for the interior of the line set for 2020 with Ryan Jensen, Ali Marpet, and Alex Cappa, but if any injuries were to occur the line as a whole immediately takes steps back.

The best use of this pick for the Buccaneers is to address the potential of an injury happening to the interior of the offensive line. The Bucs have already addressed depth at several of the other very important positions and having depth here is vital.

Michael Onwenu would be a great player to use as a depth piece but also someone to compete with Alex Cappa for the starting guard spot.

Onwenu weighs in at over 350 pounds and played in 26 games for the Michigan Wolverines and could very well be in competition for a starting spot if he was drafted.

This would be an interesting move for the Bucs as Onwenu conservatively weighs around 50 pounds more than Alex Cappa and this added weight is important, especially for a team that is looking to improve their run game.

If Onwenu makes it to the fifth round the argument could certainly be made that the Bucs should consider drafting him.
