The final pick in this mock draft is one that has been repeated continually over the past weeks and will likely only pick up traction as the draft gets closer.

AJ Dillon is still the best possible running back for the Buccaneers to draft. This has not changed and likely will not change.

Dillon is the perfect combination of what the Buccaneers need while also being available in the last round that the team has a pick. This is essentially the best-case scenario for a team when drafting a running back.

The Buccaneers would add a running back that weighs nearly 250 pounds who could dominate in short-yardage situations while also having a better fullback than the likes of Dare Ogunbowale.

The Bucs seem pretty committed to Ronald Jones as the star of the show, with good reason, and they will need a player that offers a bigger change of pace than Peyton Barber.

Dillon found success while at Boston College utilizing a combination of his size and speed. In his final season in college, Dillon finished the year with 1,685 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 318 carries for 5.3 yards per carry.

The Buccaneers need a lightning and thunder dynamic in their backfield and AJ Dillon would provide just that. Dillon would likely not be a bad pick in the fifth round but in the sixth round, he is a steal for Tampa Bay.
