The Kansas City Chiefs are still coming off of winning the Super Bowl but that success does make future contracts far more difficult to deal with.

The Chiefs have many pieces across their team that have massive contracts coming, the first of which is Patrick Mahomes who is about to become the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL very soon.

It is because of this that the Chiefs could be open to the idea of trading Chris Jones and the Bucs should jump at the opportunity. Jones would be more expensive than Ndamukong Suh but he would also be an improvement.

This move would put Jones alongside Vita Vea in the best run defense in the entire NFL and the Bucs could likely keep the now-25-year-old Jones in Tampa Bay for the foreseeable future as another anchor on the defensive line.

Jones would also help in the pass rush for the Buccaneers as he recorded an impressive nine sacks and 20 quarterback hits in 2019 which is a good deal more than Suh’s 2.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits.

Chris Jones is certainly the type of player worth trading for and would help out both sides of the Buccaneer defense. This move would guarantee a successful future for the Buccaneer defensive line and is not just simply a pipe dream as Kansas City may have bigger contracts to sign than that of Jones.
