Buccaneers: Top Landing Spots for Jameis Winston outside of Tampa

1. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have a starting quarterback in Jacoby Brissett, but Owner Jim Irsay said that “all options are on the table” moving forward.

Brissett will have a short-leash and that could lead to the Colts signing Winston to a deal to play as a back-up QB. If Brissett falters, they’d be quick to call on Winston and give him his shot.

Winston’s ability to throw the deep ball would get him on the field and his arm strength would likely still move him ahead of Brissett at some point in the season.

It wouldn’t be the most ideal spot to come in as a backup, but you better believe that Winston will examine all options if Tampa Bay is out of the picture later this spring.

Other options could include the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and maybe even a back-up spot on a team like the Carolina Panthers or New Orleans Saints depending on his market value.
