In one of the latest NFL Mock Drafts, NFL Analyst Benjamin Allbright has the Buccaneers passing on an offensive tackle for a quarterback.

NFL Analyst Benjamin Allbright released his latest top-15 mock draft and had the Tampa Bay Buccaneers passing on a potential offensive line target for a quarterback.

Allbright, an analyst on the Broncos flagship station, had the Buccaneers selecting Utah State’s Jordan Love with the No. 14 overall pick.

Here’s a look at his complete mock draft for the first 15 selections:

He has a fairly common top portion of the mock with Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Jeffrey Okudah, Isaiah Simmons and Tua Tagovailoa rounding out the top-five. At offensive tackle, Mekhi Becton (No. 7), Tristan Wirfs (No. 10) and Andrew Thomas (No. 11) were off the board before Tampa Bay’s selection.

However, in this scenario, the Buccaneers choose to select QB Love over Alabama’s Jedrick Wills Jr. with pick No. 14.

Even if you believe that Tampa Bay should take a shot on a quarterback, I highly doubt it will be at pick No. 14. More than likely, the Buccaneers would trade back to get Love or Eason, or they could even potentially trade up for a guy like Justin Herbert, though that would likely cost quite a bit.

Overall, if the Buccaneers are put on the clock at No. 14 and one of the top four offensive tackles- Wills Jr., Becton, Thomas or Wirfs- are available, then that’s the direction that Tampa Bay should go. There’s no way, in my opinion, that the Bucs will pass on one of these top offensive tackles if they’re still available at No. 14.

Allbright also mentions that Tampa Bay is one of the prime candidates to trade back. The Buccaneers are likely to be the last pick before the Denver Broncos select Henry Ruggs III. Several organizations near the end of the first-round want Ruggs and would be willing to give up a draft pick or two to get him, should Tampa Bay decide that it wants to trade back and stockpile a few extra picks.
