The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have a shot at legendary QB Tom Brady in free-agency because of the collaborative effort with Bruce Arians.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington appeared on Adam Schefter’s podcast Monday and continued to mention the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a potential landing spot for QB Tom Brady in free-agency.

The Buccaneers, who are looking to bring in the best option possible in free-agency at the quarterback position, have reportedly shown interest in Brady, as well as others like Philip Rivers and Teddy Bridgewater.

Should Tampa Bay elect to move away from Jameis Winston, it could very well be because of the legitimate shot that they have with Tom Brady.

Darlington told Schefter one of the main reasons why the Buccaneers can’t be dismissed from contention is because of the potential pairing of Brady and Head Coach Bruce Arians.

"“You know who you could really look at? We talk about the Bucs and people are kind of like, ‘Yeah, but the Bucs?’ but Bruce Arians allowed Ben Roethlisberger – about 10 years ago when [Arians] was his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach – and he would let Ben Roethlisberger basically build the game plan with him, call the plays on game day, look at that,” Darlington said. “Look at those headlines and read those stories – it’s pretty interesting. You talk about collaboration, he was the ultimate collaborator when it came to bringing Ben Roethlisberger into his circle, into his world, and saying ‘Hey, if you don’t like something, if you’re not comfortable with it, we’re gonna change that because we need this to be a two way street.’That, to me, is what makes the Bucs especially fascinating as Tom looks at them.”"

When looking at those comments, you can definitely see what could potentially draw Brady to Tampa Bay.

If he’s looking to get out of New England, and looking for a place where can have a major voice in the offense with a proven commodity at coach, Tampa fits the bill perfectly.

Of course, it’s easy to say that Brady would want to go play in a bigger market like Los Angeles or Las Vegas, but the truth is that he wants to win. He obviously wants to continue to build his brand, but make no mistake about it: Brady wants to go somewhere where he feels like he has a legitimate shot at another ring in his final few seasons.

If Bruce Arians can sell him on the fact that he’d be given liberty and freedom in the offense, that might be a solid pitch to get the legendary QB down to Florida.

I certainly wouldn’t say that the Buccaneers are the favorites to sign Brady in free-agency, but Tampa Bay is in the thick of things and it will be interesting to see how the organization approaches Brady when free-agency begins soon.

One thing’s for certain: If Brady somehow did sign with Tampa, it will be largely because of Bruce Arian’s influence and persuasion.
