With the projected addition of Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, it has to be expected that the franchise becomes a favorite in the division.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to sign QB Tom Brady in NFL free-agency at some point in the near future.

Multiple reports have said that the Buccaneers are the destination for the six-time Super Bowl winner and that all has been put into place except making it official.

Assuming the deal does get done, the Buccaneers would be bringing in one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time to their organization and would certainly be considered one of the darkhorses to compete for a Super Bowl.

Think about it this way: You’re going to see Tom Brady with real receiving options for the first time in his career.

Brady will have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, as well as another couple of talented options that the Buccaneers will fill out the roster with through free-agency and the NFL Draft. He’ll also have a tight end in O.J. Howard who has been compared to Rob Gronkowski in the past.

In addition to all of that skill-position talent, the Buccaneers have one of the most promising up-and-coming defenses in the league.

Combine all of that together with the fact that several NFC South teams could potentially be down, and you get a winning recipe.

Brady will have to compete with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, but there’s no reason to believe that the Buccaneers will take a backseat to anyone in this NFC South division during the 2020 season.
