This is another move that would be difficult for the Buccaneers to pull off, but if the goal is to go all-in on the 2020 season, trading for safety Jamal Adams would be one of the best ways to do it.

The Buccaneers need very few free agents on the defensive side of the ball other than depth pieces and potentially a safety. This is assuming that Ndamukong Suh would be willing to return on a cheaper salary, but with the events playing out the way that they are that wouldn’t be too far-fetched.

This move would require Jason Licht to make some fancy moves with trade pieces that Bucs fans aren’t used to, but it is achievable if the goal is for the Buccaneers to make a run at the playoffs.

Jamal Adams would give the Buccaneers close to a top-five defense in the NFL with their stellar line, up and coming corners, and one of the best linebacker groups in the league.

For the Tom Brady move to work the best, the Buccaneers want to give their quarterback a defense that could allow Brady to slow things down with shorter passes and running the football late in games to chew the clock.

The Bucs may be set already at safety, but Adams is generally considered to be the best strong safety in the NFL. The Buccaneer defense would then pair up nicely alongside their top-five offense.
