Moving into the fifth round, the Buccaneers do need depth for their defensive line even if Suh is returning to the team.

Khalil Davis is a good depth piece to take a chance on, especially to be utilized in the strongest unit for the Buccaneers.

Ndamukong Suh doesn’t appear to have a massive market and the Buccaneers have a decent chance of bringing him back on a cheap contract. This is also the case if Suh wants to play on a team that is starting to garner some playoff buzz.

The Buccaneers also recently brought back depth piece Rakeem Nunez-Roches, who was actually compared to Khalil Davis in Davis’ Combine Profile by Lance Zierlein.

Davis may not come into Tampa Bay and shock anyone, but he would be a good piece to maintain depth on the dominant Buccaneer defensive line.

In his final season for Nebraska, Davis accounted for 8.0 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. These stats paired with his impressive combine measurements (4.75 40-yard dash, 32 bench press reps, and weighing in close to Suh at 308 pounds), make Davis an interesting prospect in the fifth round.

While not an offensive piece, maintaining the Buccaneer defense would pay off heavily for Tom Brady and the rest of the offense.
