Rounding out this mock draft, the options have become extremely limited. There are physically no other offensive positions to draft for. The line has been addressed, the receiver corps is outstanding, and the Bucs have their quarterback and running backs for the next two years.

Defensively, the secondary and defensive line have also already been taken care of in this mock and the previous draft and that leaves only linebackers to look at.

The Buccaneers certainly don’t need any new linebackers as starters, but a good depth piece at outside linebacker would be a great addition considering the departure of Carl Nassib last week.

The Bucs already have two excellent pass rushers, but Michael Divinity Jr. would be a great depth piece to back up Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul alongside Anthony Nelson.

The biggest thing to evaluate with Divinity Jr. is not his football playing ability but rather his character. He was a starter during his junior season to decent success, but his senior year was marred by ineligibility that stemmed from his violation of team rules.

While it rarely ever improves from college to the NFL, the sixth round of the draft is a great place to take a chance on a talented player who may struggle with character issues.

The Buccaneers have a great coaching staff in place to help Divinity Jr. Bruce Arians would definitely be the coach to provide the discipline necessary to help smooth a player’s character issues out and Todd Bowles is beloved by the players on his defense. It may be hard to do, but the Buccaneers could hit a home run with Divinity Jr.

As previously stated, Tom Brady’s life will get far easier as the defense players better. While Michael Divinity Jr. could flame out from the NFL due to character issues, there is a chance that the Buccaneers could find a diamond in the rough for depth and a future starting spot.
