The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted Tom Brady’s introductory press conference Tuesday afternoon as a way to officially bring him into the organization.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took the nation by storm last week when it was reported that QB Tom Brady would be signing with the organization.
Brady, a six-time Super Bowl winner, officially announced that he was signing with the Buccaneers last Friday morning after two decades with the New England Patriots.
The Buccaneers held an introductory press conference for the future Hall of Fame quarterback Tuesday afternoon. One of the most interesting points was made by Tampa Bay Head Coach Bruce Arians when he talked about what made Tom Brady the No. 1 option.
Arians mentions that Brady can do everything they need in his offense but more than that, it was Brady's leadership ability that made him the priority.

With one of the youngest teams in the league, Tampa Bay was greatly in need of a veteran who could come in and be a leader in the locker room and on the field. Brady is that guy.
Tom Brady’s football IQ is off-the-charts and he’s going to be able to champion a culture of winning in the locker room among those young players, which will in turn make the Buccaneers a better organization not just in the present, but in the future after he retires.
It can’t be emphasized enough how important it is for the Bucs to have a quarterback who can be a leader, especially in close games next season. Tampa Bay is going to be competing with the New Orleans Saints in that NFC South division and Brady’s leadership will be needed to lock-up a playoff spot and take the ball club to the next level.
Tom Brady: "What won't be different is my approach to the game, what my roles and responsibilities are. I'm going to go out every day and try to put our team in a position to win."

Brady also pointed out that he is excited about the opportunity to work with the Tampa Bay coaching staff and thinks the organization is in position to succeed.
Tom Brady on working with Bucs OC Byron Leftwich: "I'm excited. We've had a chanced to talk a couple of times. We're right around the same age. I watched him play for a long time, competed against him." Said he's transitioned well to coaching.

More so than anything, Brady speaks for all Bucs fans when he says that he’s just ‘excited to get started.’
The amount of jersey pre-sales and season ticket sales are through the roof and there hasn’t been such a great level of excitement around this franchise in quite some time.
