With stellar QB Tom Brady at the helm, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trending upwards in the latest Super Bowl odds for the 2020 NFL season.

Just a few weeks ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were being picked to finish squarely in third in the NFC South division.

Fast-forward to the free-agency period and Tampa Bay is now one of the darkhorse picks to win the 2021 Super Bowl.

The Buccaneers made an enormous splash during free-agency when they announced the signing of QB Tom Brady. Brady, a six-time Super Bowl winner, gave Tampa stability at the quarterback position and, as a result, made the franchise one of the favorites to get to the playoffs and compete during the 2020 season.

Brady’s signing with the Buccaneers made Tampa Bay the largest riser in the latest Super Bowl odds. Here’s a look at the teams with the best chance to win the Super Bowl, according to Vegas Insider.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (4-1)
  2. Baltimore Ravens (13-2)
  3. San Francisco 49ers (7-1)
  4. New Orleans Saints (11-1)
  5. Dallas Cowboys (12-1)
  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (16-1)
  7. Philadelphia Eagles (17-1)
  8. Green Bay Packers (18-1)
  9. New England Patriots (20-1)
  10. Buffalo Bills (20-1)

When you look at these teams, you can see that the Buccaneers are clearly the ‘trendy pick’ at this point.

The Chiefs come into the season as heavy favorites to repeat as champions- with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, of course- and they’ll be the favorites in the AFC. It’s interesting to see the Patriots (20-1 odds) still listed among the favorites to make the playoffs with Tom Brady gone, but it also makes sense because of the relative weakness of that division. Of course, the Patriots are now listed at the same odds as the Buffalo Bills.

It’s still early and there are plenty of questions surrounding Tampa Bay like: How will that offensive line protect Brady? Will Brady mesh with the wide receivers? Can the defense take the next step forward?

Next. Biggest offensive needs moving forward. dark

But it’s clear that the franchise is in the best position it has been in quite some time to be legitimate competitor and that all starts with the quarterback position.
