Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally unveil perfect new uniforms
By Rob Leeds
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have worn some widely-disliked uniforms for the majority of the 2010s, but the new designs come as a breath of fresh air.
Say goodbye to the alarm clock numbers and other weird designs because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have finally released their new uniform designs and they are sweet (get them at Fanatics now).
Fans have waited with high hopes for months now, and the long wait is finally over with the announcement from the official Twitter account of the Buccaneers. You can check them out below if you haven’t seen them yet.
As fans can see, the designs reported by Paul Lukas on uni-watch.com back in March are indeed accurate and the Buccaneers also released an all-pewter look that was not previously mentioned which may be the best.
The new designs are very clean while also not sacrificing the important colors. The only aspect of the design that has remained the same is the helmet, which is still pewter with the Buccaneer logo on either side.
As fans can see, the players are just as excited about the new designs as anyone as shown by the glee in their eyes in the teaser video that the Buccaneers dropped last month as well as in the official video dropped today. They knew as much as anyone that new designs were needed.
This is a move that the Buccaneers definitely needed to make as their uniforms have been near the bottom of the league for the past couple of years. The way that the old designs tried to incorporate the multiple colors in different panels didn’t work, and the new iterations looks far more modern.
The Bucs have unveiled three great jersey options and also have one of the most unique looks in the league with the pewter-focused color rush design (even though it isn’t the creamsicle).
Tampa Bay now has a new starting quarterback and new uniform designs that rivals any in the league. The Bucs make another great offseason move and fans are now chomping at the bit for the 2020 season to begin.
