Mike Evans may hold the record for most consecutive 1,000+ receiving yard seasons amongst Buccaneer receivers now, but there was one player for the Bucs who set this record at a time where throwing the football was not as prevalent.

Joey Galloway posted three of the best consecutive seasons for a Buccaneer receiver in team history with over 1,000 receiving yards in each season from 2005-2007 and held that record until Vincent Jackson made a case for himself by doing the same thing in 2014.

Regardless of whose streak was better, and they were both spectacular given the time, Joey Galloway gets the nod here due to how vital he was in the passing game to those Buccaneer offenses from 2005-2007.

While the offense was still based on the run, Galloway was the true heart of moving the ball through the air. From 2005-2007 Joey Galloway accounted for nearly half of all receiving yards from all quarterbacks and caught 23 of 37 total passing touchdowns thrown during that period.

The biggest argument against Galloway at this spot is how brief he was on the team and healthy, but his best three seasons were good enough to keep his spot on this list, especially when the quarterback play is taken into account.

Joey Galloway may not hold these records anymore, but he earns the recognition here that he deserved during his successful career with the Buccaneers.
