Round 1: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

Surprisingly, an offensive tackle was still available at the 14th overall pick, and it was the one who is the best prepared to start in his first year in the NFL. Players like Mekhi Becton and Tristan Wirfs have a high upside, but in year one, there will be no tackle better-suited to protect Tom Brady than Jedrick Wills.

Round 2: Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU

The Buccaneers already have their best defense in years set up, but the idea of pairing up Ndamukong Suh and Vita Vea with the talented Ross Blacklock was too good to pass up. The Buccaneers get a defensive lineman for the future and didn’t have to give up their first pick to do it.

Round 3: Antonio Gibson, RB, Memphis

The Bucs were able to find the best receiving back in the third round, who has the potential to post 75 receptions in year one in Antonio Gibson. Gibson is good value for the third round and doesn’t force the Bucs to overdraft a different running back who won’t bring as much to the table.

Round 4: K’Von Wallace, S, Clemson

The Buccaneers need help at safety, and K’Von Wallace will have a chance to compete for one of the starting spots. If anything, Tampa Bay has notoriously struggled with injuries at safety, and Wallace provides reliable depth in that situation.

Round 4: Devin Duvernay, WR, Texas

With the departure of Breshad Perriman, Devin Duvernay was a great replacement to find with the second fourth-round pick for the Buccaneers. With 4.39 speed and Duvernay’s talents in the vertical passing game, it’s safe to say that Tom Brady has as many weapons as he could need.

Round 5: Michael Onwenu, IOL, Michigan

The interior of the Buccaneer offensive line is reliable, but any injuries to the starters could spell disaster for Tom Brady. Michael Onwenu is an excellent pickup in the fifth round who can challenge Alex Cappa for the starting spot or serve as a viable backup.

Round 6: Patrick Taylor Jr., RB, Memphis

With Antonio Gibson taking Dare Ogunbowale‘s spot as the third-down back, the Buccaneers will need to find a back that can assist in the power running game. Gibson’s college teammate, Patrick Taylor Jr., fits that bill, and keeping these Memphis Tigers together could create an exciting dynamic in the Buccaneer backfield.
