The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished out the 2020 NFL Draft with a few solid selections in the final rounds of the big event Saturday afternoon.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished out their 2020 NFL Draft Saturday afternoon with three picks in the final two rounds.

The Buccaneers had to wait a little while to get into the picking process as they were without a fourth-rounder, but came away with some solid selections in the final rounds.

Here’s a look at our grades for the late-rounders that the Buccaneers picked up Saturday.

Sixth Round Draft Grade: Khalil Davis, DT (Nebraska)

Getting Khalil Davis in the sixth-round was an absolute steal for the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay needed to add a depth piece to the interior defensive line and Davis fits that bill perfectly.

He has some problems when it comes to measurables- like short arms- and he is slow out of his stance at times, but Davis has great explosiveness and strength.

He won’t likely be the replacement for Ndamukong Suh, but he certainly has the talent to be a guy who stays in the league for a while and develops into a sold defensive tackle.

Grade: B

Seventh Round Draft Grade: Chapelle Russell, LB (Temple)

Chapelle Russell is a guy who has all the measurables and physical capabilities of turning into a solid linebacker.

He has to work on processing and reading the offense, but I really like his athleticism. He’s one of the more athletic linebackers in this draft class and had it not been for injuries- two ACL tears- he probably would’ve been a solid mid-rounder.

Grade: C

Seventh Round Draft Grade: Raymond Calais, RB (Louisiana-Lafayette)

The Buccaneers drafted Raymond Calais because of one important attribute: His elite-level speed.

Calais isn’t a running back who is going to be able to take a lot of punishment. He’s undersized, for sure, but he has the athleticism to be a big-play maker.

He’ll be used likely as a change-of-pace back alongside Ronald Jones II and Ke’Shawn Vaughn and could end up becoming another explosive option for Tampa Bay’s offense.

Grade: B-

Next. Draft Grade: Skilled WR Tyler Johnson falls to Bucs. dark

Overall, I really like the selection with that pick. His explosive play-making ability is something to be desired and that is great pick-up in the seventh round.
