The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will appear in five prime-time games in 2020 and it’s no doubt that much of the reason has to do with the QB addition.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their 2020 schedule Thursday evening and it’s honestly one of the most exciting slates we’ve seen in quite some time.

The Buccaneers will play a total of five prime-time games with the eyes of the nation watching them as a result.

The Bucs will play three road games in prime-time and two at home in Raymond-James Stadium. Here’s a look at that slate:

  • @ Chicago Bears (Thursday Night Football- Oct. 8)
  • @ Las Vegas Raiders (Sunday Night Football- Oct. 25)
  • @ New York Giants (Monday Night Football- Nov. 2)
  • vs. New Orleans Saints (Sunday Night Football- Nov. 8)
  • vs. Los Angeles Rams (Monday Night Football- Nov. 23)

While there’s no doubt that Tampa Bay has an intriguing set of young talented players who should be noticed by the rest of the country, the truth of the matter is this: Tom Brady puts Tampa on the map.

The minute that Brady- the greatest QB of all-time- signed with the Buccaneers, Tampa Bay automatically became relevant. NFL analysts who have scoffed at the Bucs organization for years and genuinely considered them nothing more than a mediocre franchise were all of a sudden fans.

The Bucs went from being forgotten losers to legitimate contenders in the eyes of the nation. And that means something.

It doesn’t just mean something now. Yes, of course the Buccaneers are the hot commodity now. Yes, there are tons of bandwagon fans.

But there’s a legitimate chance that Brady leaves this franchise with a lasting impression that changes it forever. Signing the former Patriots QB could mean so much more for the future of this organization than anyone could’ve ever predicted just a couple of months ago.

2020 schedule is the most exciting we've seen in years. dark. Next

These prime-time games are a direct result of having Tom Brady on the roster, but there’s no telling what this change of attitude could mean even years from now for the organization.
