Report: Things are going pretty well with the Buccaneers so far

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a major offseason addition when they elected to bring in QB Tom Brady on a two-year deal worth $50 million.

The Buccaneers instantly went from being expected to miss the postseason to becoming one of the darkhorse candidates to win the Super Bowl, basically overnight.

One of the biggest questions, though, was how the young Buccaneers core would react to having Brady in the locker room. Would Brady and the young Bucs get along? Well, to this point, it seems like things are going swimmingly in Tampa Bay.

NFL Network’s Mike Giardi reported that Brady has established himself as the clear leader for the Buccaneers moving forward and that the players have been impressed with how he has conducted himself and what he’s done here in the early going.

"“I was also told by another player, ‘Look, he’s not waiting. He is aggressive. He is becoming our leader. It’s happening right now even though we are not together on a regular basis as a team in person,'” Giardi said Friday via CBS Sports. “This is something I think all the Buccaneers are looking forward to when they finally get together on the field."

Giardi continued by saying that Brady has impressed his teammates by the energy he has put into becoming a part of the team. He is asking questions, engaging with his fellow Buccaneers and making all the moves possible to put Tampa Bay in contention to win a championship.

"“Brady is the Pied Piper for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” Giardi said. “This isn’t to disparage what Jameis Winston did there, but Brady is drawing all kinds of attention from his teammates for the energy that he is bringing not only in these workouts that he has organized. But also, I was told, he is lighting up the Zoom meetings … intelligent questions, personality, engaging with teammates. This is exactly what they need.”"

Tom Brady is the real deal for the Buccaneers

The more you hear about the job that Brady is doing, the more you realize that he didn’t come to Tampa Bay to simply collect a paycheck.

Brady is more focused on winning a championship now than ever and it shows in his preparation for the upcoming season.

There isn’t a time in recent memory that we’ve seen Brady put this much effort into meeting with his teammates, building chemistry and doing everything in his power to put his team as far ahead as possible.
