The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to start looking ahead towards the future, and these five college football players could become Bucs down the road.

While the Bucs’ draft class of 2020 hasn’t even reported to training camp yet, it is never too early to start looking ahead towards the 2021 NFL Draft.

It is difficult to fully ascertain what the most significant needs will be for Tampa Bay when that time comes, but by looking at contracts and the age of players, it is not difficult to get a baseline idea.

By 2021, the general hope is that the Bucs will have ended their playoff drought. A Super Bowl appearance may be too grand a proposition, but making the playoffs with the constructed team is not out of the question. Tampa Bay will try to keep their roster intact as best as they can, but departures will inevitably happen, and the draft will become critical for maintaining success.

Tampa Bay has done great during their past two drafts, and that momentum will have to carry over into 2021 if there is any hope of continuing to up the ante.

If Bucs fans want to get an idea of who the team will target next year as a prospect, adding these five players to your watchlist for college football season is a great start.
