Josh Gordon, Wide receiver

One of the most impressive storylines this offseason was how the Buccaneers were able to take one of the most stacked receiver groups in the NFL and move it up a notch from there.

Tom Brady can practically throw the ball in any direction that he pleases, and a Buccaneer pass-catcher will come down with the ball. It may seem like the receiver room is as stacked as it can be, but the Bucs can still invest more here.

Outside of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, the receivers for the Bucs are all question marks. Tyler Johnson looks like the next starting slot receiver, but this is dangerous to etch in stone before he has ever played a down.

Scott Miller and Justin Watson are also players that have decent potential, but they are incredibly unproven. The Bucs would be well off to find another receiver that has played at a high level before to mix in with some of the younger talent.

With the NFL in a different spot than it was when Josh Gordon struggled to stay on a roster, it seems like Gordon can finally get back on a team and stay active. He still has something to prove before he gets a long-term contract, and the Buccaneers would be a great place to restart his career.

This signing would still be very cheap for the Bucs as Gordon doesn’t have a ton of suitors lining up at the moment, but this money would be well worth it for a player of Gordon’s incredible talent.
