Rob Gronkowski isn’t the best tight end in the league anymore and it’s not fair for fans to expect that from him.

Nevertheless, Gronk is still getting paid like he’s the best tight end in the league ($9.25 million) and fans are expecting him to come in and make a major impact for the offense.

They could be left extremely disappointed.

Gronkowski is going to be a solid contributor to the offense and he’ll make some plays in the receiving game, but it’s not going to be enough to warrant the amount of hype he’s receiving currently, especially as he continues to try and add weight to get back to his football-playing shape.

Many are just happy to see the legend and future Hall-of-Famer back on the field and that’s great. Others are pegging him as a Pro-Bowler and potential All-Pro player. That faction will be dissatisfied.
