Blockbuster Trade No. 2: Win-now mode with a star-studded RB trade

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers get: RB Dalvin Cook
  • Minnesota Vikings get: TE O.J. Howard, 2021 second-round pick, 2021 third-round pick

Perhaps giving up this much draft capital would be considered a dumb move for the Buccaneers to make, but that’s likely what it would take to get the Vikings to give up their star running back.

Dalvin Cook and the Vikings have had their fair share of friction over the past couple of weeks, though, and that could lead to the running back seeking a trade. In this trade scenario, the Bucs would be giving up O.J. Howard- who has almost the same hit to the cap as Cook on his rookie contract- as well as a couple of valuable draft picks.

This move would only happen if Cook makes it clear that he wants a trade or if the Vikings make it clear they’re not going to pay him.

Cook would be a perfect fit in the Bucs’ offense, though, because of his versatility and he would add yet another explosive option to this unit. It’s not likely to happen simply because of cap reasons, but one can certainly dream, right?
