Block Buster Trade No. 3: Trading to get the best safety in the game

Adams is the best safety in the game and this is likely what it will take to get him in Tampa Bay. Perhaps the Bucs can negotiate down a little bit, but one has to believe that at least a first-round pick will be off-the-board to get Adams out of New York.

This is quite the capital to give up if he’s not going to sign long-term, but if he is going to be in Tampa Bay for the long haul, it makes a ton of sense.

The Buccaneers have less than $5 million in cap space currently, but Adams is willing to negotiate an extension following this season that would give Tampa time to clear up space.

The Bucs would have a definitive answer on the backend of that defense and would all of a sudden be considered one of the top contenders in the NFC with a shored-up defense to go along with that explosive offense.
