Sign free agent running back Alvin Kamara

Right off the top, this is a potential doomsday scenario for the Buccaneers. For this to ever come about, Tampa would have to move on from Ke’Shawn Vaughn or Ronald Jones. Only one of those is a real option, but they both can’t remain for there to be space for Kamara.

The Buccaneer run game has been awful for the past few years. The run game has not been the whole reason or even the biggest reason why the Bucs have underperformed, but it still needs to be fixed if the Bucs want to win a Super Bowl.

The running backs currently on the roster look like they’re in a good space to succeed this year, but if they don’t, Tampa Bay will need to look elsewhere to keep the Super Bowl hopes alive.

The rule may be never to pay running backs, but Kamara certainly breaks that mold. As one of the best dual-threat backs in the league, Kamara is worth paying a larger contract to.

Any team that signs Kamara is essentially getting two players as he can line up as a traditional running back or as a wide receiver with no drop-off in his game. It is also worth noting that Brady could rely heavily on Kamara as a receiver out of the backfield to substantial success.

If the Buccaneers are still looking for a great fit for Brady this time next year, Alvin Kamara could be the perfect option.
