Three potential first-rounders for the Buccaneers in 2021 NFL Draft

There’s no doubt that talent evaluation and analysis never stops for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following what many may consider to be the most successful offseason in Buccaneers history, it’s clear that the franchise is back to preparing not just for the upcoming season, but for the future.

Whether or not we have a season- and what that looks like- is still to be determined, but there’s no doubt that there will be another talented class of rookies ready to come into the league for the 2021 season regardless of what happens this fall.

Here’s a way-too-early look at three potential first-round prospects who could be great fits for the Buccaneers in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Creed Humphrey, IOL (Oklahoma)

Now, I know what you’re thinking: Why would Tampa Bay draft an interior lineman?

After all, the Bucs already have Ryan Jensen at center and some promise at the offensive guard position. That being said, there is still belief that the Bucs could use some help in the interior and Humphrey could be that missing piece.

Even with him on the roster, we could see Alex Cappa move to right tackle and Tristan Wirfs potentially take over as the starting left tackle, especially if Tampa wanted to shed Donovan Smith’s massive contract.

If you’re going to go after an offensive lineman, Humphrey is the best IOL in the draft and likely will be available when it’s time for the Buccaneers to pick, later in the draft of course.
