The Buccaneers need a face of the franchise that fans can get behind for the long run

Tampa Bay is currently undergoing a substantial identity transformation. The Bucs are moving on from Jameis Winston to Tom Brady, one of the most recognizable players of all time. Jameis was well-liked by his teammates, but there were times where his off-field behavior made it hard for the fanbase to rally behind him fully.

Tom Brady will be a stark change, but having that recognition has immensely helped out the franchise. Having Dak follow Brady as the next leader would help the team across all facets.

Dak is well-liked by his teammates and coaching staff, he is a natural leader, and he would help end some of the divide that has formed in Tampa Bay.

Tom Brady and Jameis Winston both received polarized reviews from Bucs fans, and the fanbase has become more divided than ever. Some fans have reached a point of disgust with the team after Winston was allowed to walk that they are now actively rooting against the franchise.

There is little that Brady can do over the next two years to heal these wounds, but the process can start, and a player like Dak could hopefully unite the fanbase to its previous levels.
