2. Chapelle Russell
It’s easy to see why the Buccaneers fell in love with Chapelle Russell.
As we approached the middle rounds of the draft, it became apparent that the Bucs were looking for a linebacker with great versatility, athleticism and physicality.
Russell was the perfect fit.
While Russell has an opportunity to be successful at linebacker and he’ll likely get playing time in 2020, there’s going to be an adjustment period and he’s going to struggle during Training Camp. There are very few linebackers who come into the league and become instant starters from Day 1 and it will take Russell at least a year or so to develop into what we all want him to become.
