McCoy brings playoff experience and leadership that the majority of the team lacks

The Buccaneers are a funny team on paper. The roster is split between young players with almost no playoff experience (and limited NFL experience for that matter), and older players who may be past their prime, but have substantial success in the postseason.

This youth is a good thing to have, but Tampa Bay needs its veterans to help teach the younger players.

Technically, Ronald Jones has the most experience on this roster going into his third year on the team at 22 years old. Dare Ogunbowale is the oldest of the group, but he only has a single full season on a 53-man roster. Do you see the problem here?

LeSean McCoy would immediately be the oldest of the group, but he is the only one with a Super Bowl ring and still may have the highest ceiling. This experience and leadership will pay off greatly for the younger players on the roster.

Ronald Jones needs a veteran to learn from even if he does take the majority of the reps, and McCoy would also take the pressure off of rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn in a year where expectations are as high as ever.
