3. M.J. Stewart doesn’t make the 53-man roster

With the extension of the roster for this season especially, I don’t expect many veterans to be truly ‘cut.’

However, the third bold prediction here is that M.J. Stewart won’t make the active 53-man roster. He may very well be able to stay as a scout team player and might be called upon depending on how things shake up with the pandemic, but the corner is going to find himself without a roster spot before the end of camp.

Stewart has plenty of talent, but the Buccaneers just haven’t figured out a way to use him. He has played the inside cornerback role, outside, safety and nickel. Through all of that he hasn’t find a home.

That’s going to hurt him this preseason.
