1. The Bucs sign Clay Matthews

The Buccaneers lost Carl Nassib and from last year’s team and Anthony Nelson hasn’t played a ton of reps. That leads me to believe that they could be working to bring in another edge-rusher to provide depth in that front-seven.

Why not Clay Matthews?

Matthews would be the perfect veteran to fill that second-string role and he would provide great leadership to a young team and defensive unit that could certainly use that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Tampa elects to claim someone off the waiver wires, but it also would be intriguing if they chose to bring in free-agent Matthews to play that role.
