1. Signing Tom Brady, letting Jameis Winston walk

We’ve combined these two decisions into one because they really go hand-in-hand.

Can you imagine the absolute outrage if Drew Brees was to go down for any amount of time and Jameis Winston came in and excelled with the Saints? That would be pandemonium, especially if Brady struggles.

Can you imagine if Brady is injured or if he throws a bunch of careless interceptions? There will be Buccaneers fans ready to jump off the train as quickly as they climbed on.

Overall, I believe the decision to sign Brady and let Winston walk was the right one. Brady is a veteran leader who knows how to win and Winston simply makes too many careless errors.

But there is a ‘worst-case-scenario’ out there where the Bucs come to deeply regret either the signing of Tom Brady, letting Jameis Winston walk, or both. It’s not our thoughts that they will, but that’s something they’ll certainly be watching over the course of the next few months.
