2. That defensive backfield is vastly underrated
When looking at the Buccaneers defensively, one would point out that the weakness is the secondary.
But the more we hear and see from Training Camp, the more I’m convinced that the defensive backfield is vastly underrated.
Sean Murphy-Bunting is a star in the making. Bruce Arians said Carlton Davis was a top-10 CB in the league currently. Jamel Dean is continuing to get better.
And then you’ve got those ball-hawking safeties led by Jordan Whitehead and rookie Antoine Winfield Jr. There are still some questions with this group, sure, but there’s no doubt that the DBs are vastly underrated.
