5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers who must step up against the Carolina Panthers
4. Shaquil Barrett
Shaq Barrett had a solid game last week against the Saints, but he is going to need a better performance this week and throughout the season if he wants to earn that big contract.
Barrett had just three tackles and no tackles for loss in the game this past weekend. While there’s no doubt that offenses are going to account for him differently this year and bring double-teams when possible, Barrett still has to find a way to create more havoc in the backfield and to make his presence known.
He was the NFL’s sack leader last season, but there were times Sunday where you simply forgot he was on the field.
There’s no doubting Barrett’s talent and ability, we’d just like to see him step up and create some losses this week against a much less talented Panthers offensive line.
