The Bucs started hot, going up three scores on the Panthers before the second half. The defense was firing on all cylinders, and the offense was clicking, with Mike Evans being a significant threat against the depleted Carolina secondary.
Unfortunately, after half time, it appeared as though two different teams were playing, and Tampa Bay was then caught flat-footed in the second half. Teddy Bridgewater and Christian McCaffrey carved up the Buccaneer defense and brought the game within a score.
Tampa Bay recovered after a massive Carlton Davis interception and put the game away with a long Leonard Fournette touchdown. However, there are still some major question marks surrounding the remainder of the season.
The Buccaneers have not yet played a complete game, which is concerning for a team that has hopes in the playoffs this season. Either way, a win is a win, and the Buccaneer identity is starting to become more clear by the day.
