The Buccaneers have had no trouble shutting down the running game (for the most part) through the first two weeks of the season.
Tampa Bay gave up just 82 yards rushing (2.4 YPC) against the Saints and just 87 yards (3.6 YPC) against the Panthers, but that doesn’t mean an explosive runner still couldn’t give the defense fits.
Melvin Gordon III has rushed 34 times for 148 yards (4.4 YPC) and a touchdown in his first two games and he’ll definitely be a player that the Bucs zero-in on as they look to shut down that Broncos offensive attack without Drew Lock under center.
