The Bucs have smartly addressed the key positions

The four most important positions in the NFL are quarterback, corner, pass rusher, and offensive tackle. Other than a few question marks from time to time at left tackle, Tampa Bay has finally addressed all of these roles.

Moving on from Jameis Winston to add Tom Brady has already paid off, as Brady has been precisely what was advertised, other than a few picks that would occur with any other quarterback in the same offense.

Tristan Wirfs has immediately emerged as one of the best rookies in the class on the offensive line, and Tampa Bay looks more intelligent ever week after trading up to secure a foundational offensive lineman in the first round.

On the defensive side of the football, Carlton Davis has evolved into one of the most underrated corners in the league. He has already played two stellar games this season, with one coming against Michael Thomas. Davis has a massive contract coming his way soon, but the Bucs are still getting the most out of his rookie contract for the time being.

Finally, Shaquil Barrett hasn’t experienced the start of the season that was expected for the 2019 sack leader, but his time will come, and the Bucs could have another cornerstone position locked down for the future if he plays well this season.
