As previously stated, the Bucs don’t need to fire anyone. Tampa Bay is 2-1 and has an extremely easy stretch coming up, but winning games sloppily does little to prepare for a matchup versus a juggernaut like the Seahawks.

The best thing for the Bucs would be for Jason Licht to step in with Arians and encourage the 67-year old coach to change the approach to one that favors analytics more. The additional hire of an analytics-focused coach would work wonders for the offense.

In addition to a better analytics-based approach, Arians should try to revert more to the offense from last season. The “no risk it no biscuit” offense from 2019 was much closer to an analytics-driven offense, and it makes little sense that such massive sweeping changes have occurred given the lack of a Tom Brady regression and other minimal personnel changes.

Arians and Leftwich aren’t on the hot seat yet, but every time this offense fails to score more than five points against a team without its best defensive player, the seats heat up ever so slightly.

The Buccaneers have the talent on their roster to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season, but their offensive coaching staff has to step up if there is any chance of living up to the lofty expectations.
