The Buccaneers easily have the best inside linebacker duo in the NFL. Devin White is one of the top young stars in the league and may make a case for himself to make the Pro Bowl this year for the first time, but Lavonte David is currently the likely favorite to join Bobby Wagner.

Bobby Wagner has become a staple in the Pro Bowl, almost to the point that it doesn’t matter how he plays, but David should finally get the chance to return and gain the recognition he rightfully deserves.

No matter how well the new players perform, David is the face of this defense. A large amount of the recent defensive success falls on David’s shoulders and the lead that he sets, and if the Buccaneers finish the year as a top-five defense, there should almost be no question that David deserves a spot.

Even at 30 years old, David has shown no signs of slowing down, and he wouldn’t have to make the Pro Bowl on name alone. This season, David has 24 tackles, two passes defended, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and an interception.

Lavonte David is continuing to show that he is one of the most versatile players in the entire NFL, and a Pro Bowl selection is sure to come his way this year at this rate.
