2. Establish or simply abandon the running game

Knowing what to do about the running game is going to be a big portion in this matchup for the Bucs.

Tampa Bay will be without Leonard Fournette, who suffered an injury last week, and the burden will be solely on the shoulders of Ronald Jones II and veteran LeSean McCoy when Jones needs a breather.

If the offensive line can get a push against this talented Chargers D-Line, then establishing the run could help open up a lot for this offense. If not, though, it will be important for the Bucs to not try and force the issue- as they seemingly did at times against the Saints earlier this season- and just to know when it’s time to pull the plug and come back to it at a later point.
