Four storylines for Buccaneers fans to watch as Tampa Bay takes on the Los Angeles Chargers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will return home to take on the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday afternoon in Raymond James Stadium.

The Buccaneers improved to 2-1 on the season with a win over the Denver Broncos last weekend and are looking to maintain their lead in the NFC South Division as we head into Week 4 of the season.

As we continue to prepare for the matchup, here’s a look at four storylines for Tampa Bay fans to watch.

4. Can the Buccaneers establish the running game?

In the first three games of the season, the Buccaneers have rushed for more than 100 yards exactly one time and that was against the Panthers, who have one of the lesser front-sevens in the league.

The Chargers are no joke when you look at their defensive line and linebackers, so the question still remains: Can the Bucs establish any kind of a running game?

Both Ronald Jones II and Leonard Fournette have shown flashes of greatness, but nothing when it comes to consistency. Fournette is out for this one, though, with an injury and it’s going to be imperative that Jones get going.

It’s not just on Jones, though. The offensive line has to get a better push to see that rushing attack improve after ranking No. 27 in the league through the first two games in both yards per carry and total yards on the ground.
