Isaiah Crowell

If the Buccaneers wanted another young option for their backfield, Isaiah Crowell could provide a veteran presence that has already been established in the league. Despite suffering a season-ending injury in 2019, Crowell should be ready to hit the field again, and the Bucs could be a perfect option.

Through five years in the NFL, Crowell has averaged 4.3 yards per carry, 7.9 yards per reception, and played two seasons with over 1,000 scrimmage yards. The Bucs need help with depth and an explosive late-game option, and Crowell helps with both.

Crowell is likely not going to unseat anyone from their starting job, but he is still far too good to not be on an NFL roster, even with the injuries included. The good thing for both parties is they don’t need to be an excellent fit for the future, but the Bucs could use Crowell to get through the remainder of the season, and Crowell could get a shot to show that he still has some gas in the tank.

Considering that he is coming off of an injury, Crowell won’t be an expensive option. He is talented enough at multiple facets of the game, making him a perfect free agent option for the Buccaneers.

If Tampa Bay still has injuries plaguing the roster over the next few days, Crowell would be a perfect option to hold a workout for as a dynamic runner and talented pass-catcher to pair with Tom Brady.
