Marshawn Lynch

In the spirit of sticking with the current Buccaneer strategy of taking older players that may be past their prime, Marshawn Lynch could be an immediate fan-favorite to provide the Buccaneers with some depth with the current injuries.

“Beastmode” has been a commonplace in the NFL since the early 2000s, and it likely would not be difficult to entice the veteran back to join the likes of Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

The best thing about Lynch for the Buccaneers is that it accomplishes the dual purpose of making money and providing depth. The Bucs have led the league with jersey sales like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, and Lynch would be an additional fan-favorite immediately. The Bucs are a business first, and this would immensely help.

Outside of the obvious, Lynch is a great runner who would pair well with the current options if the Bucs can’t find a better third-down option. Lynch is known for his play between the tackles and not as a pass-catcher, so Tampa Bay would still need someone else to step into that role.

If Tampa Bay does need someone to pound the rock with their current offense, Marshawn Lynch could be a perfect option to bring in on a cheap contract to end the season.
